When i boot my laptop no desktop is displayed. Instead of displaying the desktop my laptop displays the documents folder.

If i close that window im left with a blank screen and my only option is to press ctrl, alt and delete and then i have to restart the machine.

Can anyone help me please?

system restore...IT WORKS

if it makes it worse (for w/e reason you can just undo the restore)

it works ALOT better on vista then it did on XP so try it
