I spent about 2 days searching around and 2 hours on the phone with Vista support but still am no closer to what i am trying to do.
So i am going to ask here and hope that i can get a little guidance.
I bought a brand new HP Pavilion m9080n and it came with Vista. I just dont have the time to deal with learning the changes so i wanted to run XP instead.
I have two hard drives and wanted to just try to install the XP on the second one and then change it to boot that one as a primary so i could learn vista here and there but have XP as my main OS.
Now i would be happy just to be able to wipe the computer and put on XP by itself.
My problem is this.
How do i wipe my computer and then install XP.. I hav XP disks and i have 3 various different wipe disks that i made.
Each time i reboot and point the boot to the cd drive it never works.
On one it just waits for like 10 mins and then goes to loading vista and on another it gives off various errors.
Is there a solid wipe program disk i can download that will work with vista so i can wipe my hard drive and then install xp.
Is there a good guide that might walk me through setting it up on me secondary drive and then change the priority.
Would appreciate it if anyone who knows this stuff would take the time to help me out..
Thanks in advance.
