| I hate Vista, so much of my software won't work , such as Fax, Video camera & digital still camera. It's like having a Beta VCR. |

What is this vista crap? The salesman acted like it was the wave of the future. Nothing works on it. Can I uninstall it and install windows XP? It came on the damn computer. It's like having an Amiga. I'd rather hook up DSL to a Colecovision. I can't even download freeware from the VISTA DOWNLOAD SITE!!! It says system not supported!! What does this mean? I wish I had my 98 E machine with dial up back, it actually worked! |

I dont get it really...
Where yes, I have some programs that dont work, utilities, games etc I still dig Vista.
I went to the Vista How To Geek & found a lot of tips on how to get Vista to act the way I want it to.
Vista is far from perfect but there is no perfect OS for Windows. Only an OS that youre used to.
I have a DELL XPS that still runs XP Pro that I use if I want to run some games that are not Vista capatible, but I rarely turn it on anymore as my DELL I530 w/Vista HP does everything I need it to.
I know what youre saying but I really think if you just keep at it youll find Vista is pretty cool.
And go here for tips to train Vista:

With Vista, the low battery warning pop up pops up behind any open windows. So most of the time, I don't see the warning. Do you know how to get the pop up to appear in front of any open windows?
Thanks |

| A few years back I had ME, disliked it so much I tried to update it with XP, the result was four pages of stuff that did not work including my cd burner. I reformatted and would never update to new OS again. I have XP on my desktop computer, love it and just bought a laptop with Vista. No problems with it except learning a different OS. They change names, move things. Nothing is simple anymore. LOL |
