Problem playing DVDs on Vista, WMP

I have not had much time to play with Vista because I just got my new computer. It came with Vista Home Premium already installed on it. In the first night of playing with it I have encountered one problem. My DVDs won’t play! The movie is fine; it is a couple of months old and is a fresh out of the box movie, no funny business. I tried playing the movie in Windows Media Player. About ten minutes or so into the movie I got the error message saying that it couldn’t verify info and to check drivers. I have since spoken with a gentleman that told me it had to do with Digital Certificates and Vista’s security. No solution was offered.

Can anyone shed some light on this for me? Maybe has the same problem or solution for me?

And it is ridiculous. I figured it out last night that the screen saver was interrupting Windows Media Player and causing the program to crash. I don’t know what the error messages about drivers was all about, but the problem is fixed.

I had same problem.Found the solution on microsoft knowledge pages.It meant editing thr registry files gulp!!! But I followed instructions religiously and all worked fine !! Well done Microsoft ! ( Thats a new one) !! xx
