I had a power-cut when I started my notebook for the first time and the battery was depleted while the recovery partition was being created. Therefore it was incomplete and I could not succesfully create the recovery dvds. That is when i thought to delete my faulty recovery partition and recreate it again correctly, but to my surprise it was not as easy as that. The recovery manager does not have any option for that.
Does anybody know how I could recreate my lost recovery partition so that I could write my recovery disks?
Thank you in advance for any suggestions!

my HP says that you can make dvd's but only ONCE.. so if the option is now gone or you can't find it you may be out of luck...

try in all programs in the folder recovery manager and it should be the first button...

You may be out of luck on this one.
The disks cost about $20 at HP.com for my specific system.
If you can't make the restore/back up DVDs, I would call tech support and ask them what to do. It's worth a shot.
