vista home basic task manager

Vista home basic task manager window won't close after I close a program that is not responding.

I can resize the window but there is no option for closing the window and my only option to date to get rid of the window is th reboot my computer.

Any suggestions - I have not been able to find any reference to this problem anywhere on the Microsoft site or on the internet.

Any help would be appreciated - thanks in advance for your help,

Have you tried ctrl = alt=delete? You will find a list in there, usually it will say that program is not responding. Highlight the program you want to close and click on end or close program, not sure of the exact wording.
